Notice of Changes in Executive Structure and Organization of the Japan Segment
Nippon Paint Holdings Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo) announces the following changes in senior executives of the Japan Segment effective January 1, 2025.
(The Company's management structure of executive officers and corporate officers will be announced on November 15.)
Since the implementation of bunshaka, or the company split by lines business in 2015 that allowed each business unit to focus on its specific area, the Japan segment achieved significant growth. To further advance, we identified the need to enhance technical capabilities as well as marketing and sales functions across existing business segments. Consequently, we established the positions of Japan Group CTO (Chier Technology Officer) and Japan Group CCO (Chief Commercial Officer) in 2024.
In addition to this enhancement of our leadership team, we have created new roles of CSCO (Chief Supply Chain Officer) and CAO (Chief Administrative Officer) to oversee and streamline the four key functions of sales, supply chain, technology, and administration across the Japan segment for greater efficiency and sophistication in our operations.
Within the business companies, we will reorganize the management structure to adopt a matrix system. Under this system, each business unit will maintain its current leadership while also being overseen by functional leaders such as the CCO, CSCO, CTO, and CAO. This approach enables the Japan segment to operate cohesively, breaking organizational boundaries, and driving further growth.
Moreover, we will introduce the roles of CBPO (Chief Business Process Officer) alongside the existing CIO (Chief Information Officer). With the CIO and CBPO working together, we will focus on visualizing and standardizing processes across all business areas, thereby promoting data-driven management.
