Our Response to the Coronavirus Outbreak (6th Report)

- Our Policy during the Public Health State of Emergency in Japan -

Nippon Paint Holdings Co., Ltd. (NPHD, Head Office, Kita-ku, Osaka Chairman, President and CEO Masaaki Tanaka) has decided to take the following measures in response to the Public Health State of Emergency declared by the Japanese government in seven prefectures (Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa, Osaka, Hyogo, and Fukuoka).

1. Supply of NPHD Group Products

The business of the NPHD Group is regarded as necessary for the maintenance of social functions and we will continue to supply products to our customers. We do not have any impact on the product supply in the regions where the announcement was made. We appreciate your understanding of the possibility that it may cause some inconvenience in responding to inquiries and other business operations, due to the following response to our employees.

2. Response to Employees

Employees of the head office, offices, and sales branches of the NPHD Group companies located in the above seven prefectures subject to the Public Health State of Emergency shall be telecommuted, in principle, from the viewpoint of ensuring the safety of employees and preventing infection. However, for employees who are responsible for supplying products to customers and those who need to come to the office in order to fulfill the Business Continuity Plan (BCP), we will take thorough measures to prevent infection by staggering work hours, shifting work loads, and securing social distancing. Temporary employees shall be treated in the same manner as employees. As announced on February 28 in “Our Response to the Coronavirus Outbreak (Third Report),” we will continue prohibiting business trips between Japan and overseas and refrain from those within Japan.
