Nippon Paint to Support International Day of the Girl 2021
~ Supporting women around the world with its original paint color, "With the Girls" ~

Nippon Paint Holdings Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) announces that Nippon Paint Co., Ltd. (NPTU), a group company of that handles paints used in the architectural and protective coating market, has decided to lend its support for the third time to an initiative developed by global NGO, Plan International (hereinafter “Plan”; Japan Office: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, Chair of the Board of Directors: Kiyoko Ikegami), to raise awareness on International Day of the Girl (October 11), as designated by the United Nations.

Identifying with the hope for a world where all girls and women can dream once again, NPTU has developed “With the Girls”, an original paint color in pink, a special campaign color for International Day of the Girl, for its indoor paint brand, ROOMBLOOM. For the entire month of October, the first 10 entrants will be presented with NPTU’s campaign color, “With the Girls” (1kg).

International Day of the Girl, designated by the United Nations at the urging of Plan, is a day to raise awareness and appeal to countries around the world to take action on and find solutions to the unique problems girls in developing countries face as they are subject to double discrimination based on gender and age. Since the first International Day of the Girl on October 11, 2012, Plan has carried out various activities around this day. This year will be the 10^th time the event has been held in Japan.
In past years, events have mainly been held in the Roppongi area. However, this year, a variety of events and actions will be held in different locations with an eye on the realization of a society with the equal participation of both women and men.
The Nippon Paint Group will continue to implement community activities to color an even more brilliant world through paint.
