Nippon Paint Holdings Receives the Award for Distinguished
Service/Encouragement at the 42nd Corporate Public Relations Awards
Nippon Paint Holdings Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo) has received the Award for Distinguished Service and Encouragement in Corporate Public Relations at the 42nd Corporate Public Relations Awards, organized by the Japan Institute of Social and Economic Affairs (JISEA), an affiliated organization of Keidanren (Japan Business Federation).
Established in 1984 to promote the advancement of corporate public relations, the Corporate Public Relations Awards recognize companies, business leaders, and PR professionals for excellence in corporate communications. The awards are presented in three categories: the Grand Prize for Corporate Public Relations, the Corporate Public Relations Award for Business Leaders, and the Corporate Public Relations Distinguished Service/Encouragement Award. The Corporate Public Relations Distinguished Service/Encouragement Award, which the Company received, honors PR professionals and teams that have made a significant contribution to the development of corporate public relations or have demonstrated originality in their corporate communications activities.
- Award Citation (From the JISEA’s announcement) Nippon Paint Holdings was recognized for addressing a challenge faced by many B2B companies: raising media visibility and public awareness. With a lean but highly capable team, the Company thoroughly analyzed and clarified the reasons behind its low profile, then boldly yet carefully revamped its PR strategy. By consistently uncovering compelling stories from within the organization and designing media coverage that placed frontline employees at the center, it created a virtuous cycle of value that enhanced employee engagement and helped energize the industry as a whole. The initiative was highly praised as an outstanding PR effort with strong potential to serve as a model for other companies.
Nippon Paint Holdings will take this award as encouragement to continue communicating the economic and social value of both the Company and the paint industry as a whole. Through its public relations activities, the Company will also continue to strengthen trust with stakeholders, while fostering employees’ understanding of and pride in the Company, and thereby further enhancing engagement.
